A herniated (slipped or ruptured) disc is one of the most common causes of back and leg pain for those over 40, especially men. Spine surgeon Dr. Ashish Patel recently performed Duly Health and Care (formerly DuPage Medical Group)’s first endoscopic microdiscectomy procedure at its ambulatory surgical center in Westmont.

INJURED DISC REPAIR

Patients experience reduced trauma to their surrounding tissues and ligaments due to the surgical technique, enabling them to return home the same day and experience a faster recovery after surgery.
